1833 JR-2 R5 Capped Bust dime, PCGS AU details, code 92 for cleaned.  First of all, PCGS is just being ridiculous here.  This is anybody's Uncirculated coin.  There is no wear, rub or friction.  Yes, the coin was cleaned long ago, but it clearly never circulated.  There is substantial flash and the surfaces are smooth and hard.  The totally natural retoning is beautiful...deep gold and very slightly iridescent.  The strike is medallic.  Every star shows its center, and yet, the incredible die crack spans the entire obverse, from below S13 to the rim above S7.  An amazing, solid Condition Census example of this rare variety...perhaps the 2nd or 3rd finest one.  Removed from an old, ANACS Cache MS62 holder, and with the insert.
