This is one of the best sounding Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Banjos I have ever heard.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Earl Scruggs Standard is a copy of the Banjo that was played by Earl Scruggs.  This is a copy of a Pre War Granada that has Nickel Hardware and an ebony fretboard which produces a type of power that people go crazy for.  The Earl Scruggs Standard is the best selling Gibson Banjo Model and this is one of the best Scruggs Banjos I have heard.
This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a curly maple neck and resonator.  The hardware is nickel and all original including a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone ring and a Gibson USA One Piece Flange.  The fretboard is ebony with a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern.  The neck and resonator each have w/b/w binding and the headstock has some great inlay as well.  This banjo is gorgeous and all original with a Superior Hardshell Case.
Condition
This banjo is definitely in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  There is some fine checking on the back of the resonator which is basically the only evidence of any wear.  It is so fine I didnt' see it at first and it can't be seen unless the resonator is angled under bright light.  The rest of the banjo is basically perfect.
The hardware has been disassembled and buffed to look new.  The wood has all been waxed and also shines.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and there are spikes at the 6th-10th frets.  The frets are in good shape with some wear on the first few but no playing issues and most of the frets look perfect.  This is in phenomenal shape overall and the case is clean.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  The head is a new Huber Frosted Head by Remo which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Snuffy Smith Bridge and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the banjo is a phenomenal player.  This is truly one of the finest playing and sounding Scruggs Standards I have seen.
