New Honeywell Chronotherm III Thermostat - Brand New in Box
Looking to replace your old Chronotherm III with a new compatible thermostat?  Look no more!
This thermostat should replace majority of the applications out there including single stage heat/cool oil and gas systems!
Conventional Single Stage Heat Single Stage Cool Thermostat  - Oil / Gas Systems is what hte majority of homes out there have.  If you know you have a heatpump system this thermostat will not work, please check out our other Chronotherm III auction for the T8601c 1047 for a proper match there.
Below is a breakdown to help you decide if this thermostat is right for you, please bear although we are doing our best to assist you it is your responsibility to make sure you make the proper decision.  We accept returns on this product but not on units with burned connections due to improper installation!
If your current Chronotherm or similar thermostat connects to the following screws on the back of the existing thermostat then you are in good shape with this new one as your replacement.
W (typically a white wire connected)
G (typically a green wire connected)
R and Rc (typically a red wire connected)
Y (typically a yellow wire connected)
If your thermostat has other connections which your wiring is using such as an O or B connection then this may not be the right thermostat for you.  See my other Chronotherm auction for a good match there.
Having a C wire connected does not necessarily mean you need to have that for the new one.  It is providing constant power versus the AA battery power so you don't need to worry about changing batteries to keep the system working.
Just because your existing thermostat has an O or B connection does not mean you need one, only if you know your wiring scheme is connected to those screws and you most likely have a heatpump or electric heat type system right?

If you have or are looking for one of these Honeywell numbers then this auction should work for you!!  The main difference is likely yours has a different logo (such as Trane/Lennox/York), different taupe color instead of white, one R connection instead of R and Rc (easy fix with a jumper).

If you have another Chronotherm III model and are unsure if it may work please email me and I will try to help.  Yours may have an automatic cool/heat changeover where this one doesn't.  Most people don't care about that feature as its a simple slide of the switch when you change from Summer to Winter months.  T8601C1047 T8601C 1047 will work if you are not in a heatpump/electric heat application!!
Compatibility : Please make sure your existing thermostat has the exact same connection terminals as the one pictured here.  If you have a zone system be even more cautious of the connections on your old thermostats as these new thermostats may not be compatible with an older zone panel.

Note: Please do not bid/purchase this thermostat if you are having a service issue with your HVAC system and are guessing its the thermostat.  Majority of issues with an HVAC system are not the thermostat and a professional HVAC service can determine the real cause of the heating or air conditioning outage and save you money overall.  This thermostat is offered to replace an existing chronotherm that is either not working due to confirmation by a professional/someone who knows how to service the equipment, broken panel or simply wanting an upgrade to a faded/physical damaged unit.  We mention this in our auction because unfortunately in recent months a higher number of people have purchased this thermostat to then return it and there was nothing wrong with the thermostat itself (we tested it when it came back) as they most likely had other issues with their system and did not know how else to return the item.  This becomes a waste of time and money for both yourself and the Ebay seller such as us.  Out of more than 500 thermostats sold over the years we have only confirmed 1 thermostat to actually be failed when it was returned to us and tested (and honestly we are not even 100% sure that 1 thermostat was not caused by end user improper installation or improper diagnosis)!!!
