This is a gorgeous almost Near Mint Vintage Ibanez Artist that is known as a Masterclone.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Vintage Ibanez Artist Banjos were true clones of Gibson Banjos.  I would argue that a 1970's Ibanez Artist is a better banjo then a 1970's Gibson RB250.  These are truly exceptional and people are starting to realize that.
This has a thick maple shell with a maple neck and resonator.  The hardware is chrome and is all original.  That includes a Full Size 20 hole Tone Ring and a 2 piece flange.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Wreath Inlay pattern.  There is also RB800 style binding on the neck and resonator with white binding as well.  The tailpiece is an original Ibanez Clamshell Tailpiece.  Finally the headstock features the Ibanez logo along with more Wreath inlay.
This banjo is all original with an original case and is also in nearly unplayed condition.  This is the Ibanez Artist Masterclone to get because it is basically a Time Capsule.
Condition
This banjo is stunning.  The hardware looks new as does all the finish.  This is absolutely glowing and is one of the cleanest examples of this banjo I have seen.  The frets and fretboard are basically perfect and there are no spikes and no 5th string tuner.  This is truly a closet classic that has been sitting untouched.  The case is also in phenomenal shape.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Remo Frosted Head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Kat Eyes Bridge and the intonation is set.  This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays great.
