A case has been registered against four IAS officers for handing over the Datana-Matana Airport in Madhya Pradesh to a private company YashAir Ltd without recovering the money. The Lokayukta police have sued IAS Sanket Bhondway, Manish Singh, Shashank Mishra Titan FX समीक्षा and Neeraj Mandloi under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Two principal secretaries and one of the accused officers are on deputation in the central government. The Lokayukta is investigating the case on the orders of the High Court.
All the four IAS officers appointed as accused have been collectors of Ujjain. Earlier, 5 IAS and 3 Executive Engineers have been booked on the High Court's order. A total of 20 people have been charged under IPC 420.

The Datana-Matana Airport of Madhya Pradesh Government is located on Dewas Road in Ujjain. Lokayukta Police Inspector Basant Srivastava said that the government had leased it to Yash Air Limited and Centaur Aviation Academy Indore in 2006. The contract was for 7 years between the state government and the company. Yash Air Limited had to pay Rs 100 for Airplanes weighing 5 thousand 700 kg for night parking. For high-weight Aircraft, this charge was 200 rupees. The company did not give this amount to the government.
2.92 crore was also to be spent by PWD for the maintenance of the Airstrip. The company did not pay this amount either. The government and company agreement ended in 2013. As per the terms of the contract, Yash Air Limited was to deposit Rs 1.50 lakh annually. But, the company accumulated a total of 1.50 lakh rupees in 7 years. In this way, the government lost millions of rupees. But, IAS remained in favor of the company.
